PixelSpan

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 8, 2026

Overview

PixelSpan is a browser extension that lets users measure the visible edge-to-edge distance between two elements on the active webpage. The extension is intended for use as a developer and design inspection tool.

Information PixelSpan collects

PixelSpan does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal information. The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, remote logging, or external servers.

How PixelSpan works locally

When the user enables PixelSpan, the extension injects a local measurement overlay into the active tab. It reads page element positions in the browser so it can draw highlights and calculate the visible pixel distance between selected elements. This processing happens locally on the user's device.

Permissions

PixelSpan requests activeTab so it can run only on the tab the user actively chooses to inspect. PixelSpan requests scripting so it can inject the measurement overlay into that active page. These permissions are used only for the measurement feature.

Third-party access

PixelSpan does not share data with third parties because it does not collect user data.

Children's privacy

PixelSpan is not designed to knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
